IST METZ has announced it has manufactured its 250,000th UV lamp. The Germany-based UV systems supplier presented A&R Carton with an award in June to commemmorate the occasion.

UV lamps are a key component of the UV systems manufactured by IST METZ for the curing of inks, varnishes, silicones and adhesives by means of UV light. They have been produced by subsidiary eta plus electronic GmbH since 1989 to ensure high quality and reliability of supply of the UV units. The light sources are made by hand. Besides the use in UV systems, they are also used in water treatment.

Twenty-five years after its first UV lamp was produced, the 250,000th piece was symbolically handed over to A&R Carton at its plant in Königsbrunn near Augsburg, Germany.
